Sand delivery question

8 tons of sand plus the weight of the dump truck too heavy for a 20 year old concrete driveway? I'm thinking about just having it dumped it the front yard which is about 60 feet away from where the pool is going. I don't know if I want to take the chance on cracking my driveway especially since it curves around to the back of my house.

It is almost never about the strength of the concrete but rather the support (substrate) underneath. If the substrate has no voids, it will do fine with even heavier loads. If there is a pocket where the concrete is unsupported, it will crack.

The driveway held up like a champ. All I need now is a pool and a little over 17K gallons of water.
