Hayward Color Logic - Stainless Steel Unit

I kind of need a quick answer as my pb is waiting for our response.

We are considering a stainless steel colorlogic unit vs the plastic white rim since our liner will be black&blue, the white may look too stark.. DH is concerned that the ss will evenutally rust over time with a SWG.

Any thoughts/comments please.

Paint the white rim?

I personally wouldn't use SS in a saltwater environment.

You may even be able to dye the white rim with a black fabric dye? Depends on the porosity and type of plastic.

These days new units from reputable companies will be using the correct grade of stainless steel to be safe even with salt.
