I live in Michigan so you typically don't open your pool until at least Memorial Day. I opened my pool the weekend after and it was a green mucky mess. I shocked it (using 4 lbs.) of super shock and have been running the filter non-stop for 4 days. It is clearing up but it's very cloudy. I'm not sure what to use at this point. In the past I've used a product called "drop-n-vac" which settles all the agae to the bottom of the pool, then you vacuum until gone. The problem is that it is very expensive to buy and I would like to see if there is an alternative way to clear this up. I have a 15x28 oval pool that is only 3 years old. Please someone help....

POOL SCHOOL for you! Button at the top right of every page.

And while you are there, do yourself a favor and order a good test kit. (pssssst.... get the TF-100... it's awesome!)
