HIGH PH?

I have a quick question about PH? I tested this morning after alot of rain yesterday due to tropical storm. My #'s were:

FC: 4.6
PH: 8.0
TA: 160
CH: 200
CYA: 45

I know that I need to get my PH down (was 7.6-7.8 before storm) which I was going to add acid this afternoon but was wondering since my FC was good it is safe to swim with a high PH?

It might irritate your eyes, but plenty of people have tap water with higher pH and they bathe in it. You know that acid will fix the pH in about half an hour, especially if you brush a little to really get it mixed, right?
