I am thinking of buying a pool cleaning machine and would like some advice from experienced users ie brand and model.
My pool is large 50k gallons in ground cement. Kidney shaped and 9ft deep at one end. Any advice would be appreciated.

You pay for horsepower in pool cleaners. That large pool is going to require a pretty robust cleaner.....above $1200 bucks.
In that range the top end residential and small commercial robots are certainly the best bet. Aquabot T-4 and Blue diamond Remote control are good choices but I would consider them as the least expensive for that pool.
If you spend less, you will be forever frustrated trying to get your cleaner to clean up that big pool...they're all just too slow.
