Filter location ?

Good day all,

I have a 12x24 intex ultra arriving Friday. I will be building a deck along the short side and i would like the sand/salt system to reside under the deck as opposed to along the long side . Can I use extension hoses to make this happen? Flexible or rigid?

Go with the ridgid. Look at the top of the "Above Ground Pools" forum page and go to "Useful links for fellow Intex Pool Owners" there are a lot of tips and tricks for plumbing there! Good luck and enjoy!

What about distance from filter system to valves? Is that an issue. Im guessing the filter would be about fifteen feet away from pool intake.

That will be no problem, especially if you use rigid which has less resistance than the hoses ... running 2" PVC will also help maintain the flow rate as well.
