calcium hardness

I have a 20,000 gal. inground vinyl liner pool. Do I have to worry if my
calcium hardness level is low? Also, I just opened my pool yesterday and along
the crease of the liner(where the wall & bottom meet), I have what looks like some rust stains. I shocked the pool and look like everything else is balanced. Any suggestions what to do?

Low Calcium = no problem.

Rust stains can be lifted by covering them with vitamin C tablets. Organic stains, from rotting leaves and such, will bleach out eventually.

No worry about low CH.

Try crushing up a vitamin C tablet and putting it on the stain to see if it goes away.

Why did you "shock" the pool? Did you follow the Shocking Your Pool PROCESS?
