I am in the final stages of pool negotiations/signing a contract and know how important pumps are..Found this article..Can all the experts chime in?

That is a reasonably good article. However they leave out one very important fact. Variable speed pumps are not a good investment when your electrical costs are below $0.20/kwh. At electrical rates below that a two speed pump is generally a much better investment.
