Over the years I have gained much knowledge from the helpful folks here at TFP. I wanted to share something that worked for me when faced with a safety problem.
I thought I had all the bases covered while planning and building my deck only to have one of my daughter's friends injured at the first pool party. The friend received a fairly substantial cut on the bottom of her foot when she made contact with the gap between the deck and the pool. After taking care of the injured (luckily just first aid) my wife and I came up with a nifty way to prevent another accident. We took a pool noodle and made a slit along the length to fit over the deck boards. Hope these photos tell the story.
