I have been blindly trying to keep pool at shock level for 12 days. (K-2006 ordered). I am very cloudy and milky. Brushing floor and walls like a crazy person. Problem is the walls feel like sand paper and brush will not remove it. I stuck my arm in water (freezing) and can kind of scratch it off. How on earth do I fix this?

Do I need to go through the process of lowering my TA in order to get the scale off of my vinyl pool liner? It feels like sandpaper!
You need to focus on the shock process in your other thread. Once that's complete, you can work on the scale. Don't try to do both at once.
It also would be better if you would bring this back up in the other thread....continuing your story. Running two threads at once (even though the subject is a bit different) is VERY confusing to responders.
