Pool Store Results, opinons?

Hi to everyone.

After been reading this forum for 2 weeks. This is my first post :lol:

I have 21' above ground pool 10000 gallons.

I have cloudy water, I almost can see the bottom.

Pool store numbers yesterday:

Free Chlorine 0.5
Total Chlorine 0.5
PH 7.6
TA: 230
Calcium Hardness 410
CYA: 40

My numbers this morning (last night add 1lb of shock and 6oz algaecide)

TC: 1.5
PH: 7.6
TA: 220

I have my eye ball pointing up making bubbles

What should be my next step?

This weekend I'll order the TF100

You need to be adding more chlorine. With CYA at 40, you need to keep FC between 3 and 7 and never let it get lower than 3.

Your TA is high, and I assume that that is why you mentioned the return being pointed up. You should lower the PH down to about 7.0 with acid and continue to aerate. Each time the PH comes up you can add more acid to bring it down again until you reach your TA goal. Bringing TA down will help prevent any risk of calcium scaling.
