My 2013 opening - doing BBB the right way this year!

Hi all!

Just opened on Memorial Day, and am now working my way through the shocking process to get the water clear. It seems like I'm making good progress with favorable test results. Let me know what you think!

Test Results (before initial shocking):
pH: 6.8
CYA: 30

Test Results (after initial shocking):
FC: 17
CC: 2.0

Just doing the necessary testing now, holding off on the other tests until I get the chlorine and everything back in line.

By the way, if you're the type that likes looking through rehab threads, feel free to check out my main drain repair here: main-drain-repair-t61071.html :goodjob:

On to the pictures! :whoot:

Day 1 (May 27, 2013): Pool open, time to start shocking!

Will update with more as I take them! The pool is considerably better now that I've shocked and vacuumed a bit.

Looks like your on the right track. Just make sure you maintain shock level and running pump until your done. You could have raised the ph up a tad also.

Remember its a process so stay on top of it.
