How To Clean Handrails

I was wondering the best method to clean my Ladder & Steps Handrails. I don't intend on taking them off to Clean. I'm lazy!
I want to clean just the Stainless Steel Rail part you grab onto & the part that sticks out of the water.
These have gotten old & rusty looking. 14 Years Old. I don't think anyone ever cleaned them before.
Not much info online about cleaning these. I know Brasso can be used on Stainless Steel, or so it says on bottle.
What do you guys use? Thank you.

Don't know...maybe just some fine steel wool?

Bar keepers friend, the powder version, works great on stainless steel.

Should be at the grocery store...just a powdered cleanser like you might use for a toilet or bathtub.
