How much to charge for sand replacement?

I need know what a fair price is for have mybsand replaced in my pool sand filter.

Its a triton ll tr 140. Needs 650 lbs of sand. How much is to much to pay a pool guy do it. I dont want get ripped off.

It's almost never necessary to replace the sand. Why do you think it needs changing?
Sand is millions of years old when it's put in the filter, so a few years in the filter isn't going to hurt it.

The sand just dont feel coarse any more. I had the tank sense 2004 and it runs 24/7 7 days a week

Like Dave said, if you search through the board you can find threads that show sand examined under a microscope where even sand from a very old (20+ year) sand filter shows barely detectable wear compared to fresh sand.

I would redistribute the sand (there's an article in pool school about it), and then post a full set of test results if you're having issues.
