Maybe a dumb question but I'm on my 2nd Phantom in 5 yrs and want to avoid damaging it. Should I leave Phantom in pool while shocking or is it better to remove until shock process is complete? I've done this (left it in) in the past but maybe this contributed to breakdown of unit and hoses.

It is best to have the pool cleaner out of the pool when shocking. The higher FC levels can sometimes affect the internal metal parts.
