Dear forum, I have a Goldline Gl-235 solar controller. Recently when turning it on from the panel, the valve no longer stops in the open position after 90 degrees, but keeps on spinning. I am able to open it manually to the proper position using the toggle switch, but does anyone know if just means replacing the valve?

At worst you may need to replace the actuator, but the valve should be fine. The stop position is set using cams inside the actuator. From your description, it seems likely that either the cam or the switch that the cam interacts with have broken, though they might simply have come out of position.
