Staining New Concrete To Match Exposed Aggregate

We just just poured an additional 500 sq ft of new concrete and looking for ideas and experience to match the appearance to the existing exposed aggregate. Has anyone tried this before with favorable results? One person suggested going with two different shades of stain at the same time, but I'm looking for more ideas/options before moving forward with this project.

Tried and failed and was pretty sure I would fail. You simply can't match an existing pour.

That said, my two pours don't look all that bad but they sure don't match.
