Fyi: 29,000gal, 30 yr old gunnite pool, with only one return line. We are in the middle of our conversion process.

12 gal of 12% and 17 gal 6%. We are now looking at the bottom! First time in 2 yrs. It's not a pretty site, though. Will vaccuum to waste tomorrow.

someone wrote that they cleaned their cartridge filter every 1/2 hr during their conversion. How do you do that? Ours looked like yellow latex paint and the hose would not clean it off. We had to soak all night in tsp, then most of the gunk was gone. Is there a method i am not aware of? We will be replacing it with a new one when the conversion is finished.

What do you think about changing to a sand filter?

I appreciate so much everyone's help!!!

Hi korrin and welcome to the forum

Congrats on doing your conversion!

Filters? We have a sand filter and love it! Very user friendly and our water is beautiful!

When you do decide on a filter type, everyone says to go bigger on the filter size
