Hello

I have been told you can get three in one tablet the you put in you pump filter basket. has anyone used them or know if they are any good.

Welcome to the forum.

You really don't want to put a tablet in the filter basket. It will damage your pump from the high chlorine and low Ph when the pump is off.

In addition to chlorine, the 3 in 1 tablets add CYA and copper, both of which have some undesired effects.

I have been given 8 of these tablets from a neighbour, it seems a shame to wast them, I was thinking of putting them in the ballast tank. Any comments on this would be appreciated.

My current tests show
CH >500 always
FC 3
TA 100
pH 7.8

I was told to keep the pH high because of the high water hardness.

Don't waste them, give them to someone you don't like. :lol: That's how "good" they are.

Stop listening to folks who tell you raise your pH when you have high CH, the opposite is correct.....your pH should not be higher than 7.4 and it wouldn't be a bad idea to drain off some of your pool to reduce CH. What is the CH of your fill water?

The CH of my fill water is also > 500 as this is the standard on this island.
