White Film on Surface

The film is back. I have shocked the pool twice with sufficient bleach to raise the chlorine level to over 20 (by serial dilution with distilled water, OTO test). (My test kit has been ordered). Water is otherwise clear. All other parameters that I can test with the 5 way HTH are OK with the exception of CYA = 80.

Are there any enzymatic cleaners that might be effective?

Are you sure it's not just pollen? Are there any big fires nearby dropping ash everywhere? Go look at the car, the patio furniture, and the windowsills and see if they're coated with anything similar.

Another possibility is that it's cheap algaecide foaming up. Chlorine will eliminate it. Just be patient.

No it is not pollen or ash. It is oily or wax like. There has been no suntan lotion or other oils introduced into the pool.

I know there is a product called "Pool First Aid" that contains enzymes that get rid of oils. I have no experience with it personally.
