Pool opened about 3 weeks ago. Just 12.5% and muratic acid thus far:

FC: 1.5
CC: 0
TC: 1.5
pH: 7.5
also got 1 on the taylor OTO in kit
TA: 80
CYA: ~10 as i pretty much was full tube
CH: 260...at 250 was more purple and 260 turned faint blue

last yrs 5 way test strips show I should be testing somewhat correct:
pH ~ 7.2,
FC ~ .5-1
TA ~ 40
CYA ~20

Also I plan to test borates & salt and add both as discussed in another thread of mine for the silky feel of water.
Am I safe to do the additions this weekend?

How does your water look? If its clear, your FC is holding overnight and you are in to maintenance phase.... if you plan to use bleach for chlorination, raise the CYA to 50 and bump your FC up to 6 and keep it above the new minimum of 4 at all times. Than go ahead and do your salt/borate plans.

Any other questions as you have been absorbing the info here at TFP?

Pool is sparkling clear. So i'd say i am in maintenence phase.

Haven't done the overnight test. Will do tonight. I plan to bump the FC & CYA for sure.

pH will if anything rise from the waterfall & laminars? I only run them for like 2 hrs at night right now so probably not much?

Eh, shudn't be bad with a TA of 80 and once the borates are in that should minimize it even more. I wouldn't worry about it.

Also since I have a liner pool is there a chlorine level that starts to get harsh to it? fade it etc...
Is it the FC or CC that is what fades & deteriorates over time?

If you stay within the guidelines we suggest, the chlorine will not harm you liner.

If you go w-a-a-ay outside the guidelines, all bets are off.
