Been reading on the boards for a few weeks now.

Just purchased a house with an 35,000 Gallon IG Vinyl pool.
I never wanted a pool ,but it came with the house, so I'll learn to take care of it.

Haven't received the test kit I ordered yet, but this should be a new experience.

I saw the BOGO chlorine deal at Menards and picked up 7 cases.
Not sure if that is enough for our pool season here, or If I should buy more.
Haven't found a way to estimate annual chlorine usage yet and I probably won't be able to until I have a solid water measurement.

I'll be seeing you all around.

That's the time to stock up - when it's on sale. As for whether it's enough for the season, it depends on how many oz. are in a case, what the chlorine strength is, and whether you need to shock the pool during the season.

If you haven't opened the pool yet, I would do that soon - this weekend, if possible. While waiting for your test kit, clean out as much stuff from the pool as possible. Then run a series of tests once you get your test kit.
