After a lot of water replacement lately I did a full set of water tests today and found that my CH is only 40, I know the general thought is CH is not important for vinyl pools, but the pool school suggested level for CH in vinyl pools is 50-300, so do I need to bump my CH up?

thanks Ike

JasonLion kind of summarizes the current recommendation of 50 ppm CH minimum here, but also refers to pool that have low CH with no problems (Bama has referred to his 0 ppm CH many times).

The only other reason that I recall needed some CH for vinyl is if there is foaming issues which is rare in pools but more of an issue for hot tubs.
