Just opened my pool and the water is looking pretty good, but the filter seems to be a problem. When I vacuum over a dirty section, the dirt is discharged almost immediately from the returns back into the pool. Have a Hayward 210T sand filter. I replaced the spider gasket last year but not much else has been done. Any ideas on where to start looking for the problem? Thanks.

Assuming you don't accidentally have the valve set to recirculate, the sand may have become channelized.
