Warning- Smartpool-Manufacturer of Sunheater solar panels

just wanted to give anyone thinking about investing in a product made by smartpool a warning. It appears they may be out of business. Their website www.smartpool.com has been down for about 5 weeks and they are not returning emails or phone calls. Smartpool made lots of products for the pool industry such as cleaners, solar heaters , swg, lights etc etc.

Not sure what the status is of their business, but I for one would hate to purchase an expensive piece of pool gear only to find out the company isnt around to honor their warranties.

Just went to the site and it is working (had a "click here for out 2008 catalog" link as soon as it opened!) and we just got some of their products at work from one of our distributors.

Their website is working fine and all the links on it work.

weird I am still trying to connect and have tried on 3 different computers here at home and my work computer and i get a page can not be displayed. My local pool store could not pull them up either. I have also sent multiple emails asking about their solar panesl with no response.

maybe its a problem with the local COX dns server. I can pull upa a google cached webpage but when I click on the refresh cached webpage button google comes up with an error page.

Works fine from here as well. Try this link, it uses their IP address instead of the "human" name:

No DNS server involved.

weirder and weirder

Straight IP address doesnt work either, just tried from my neighbors house( he has DSL) and cant access it from there either. I cant even ping the IP address from the CMD prompt. Also tried from AOL and it comes up with a page not found error.

maybe us okies are prohibited from having smart pools :lol:

I will keep trying, In the mean time if one of you kind people could downlaod their IG solar heating installation manuals and send along that would be great
