Question about decking??

I am starting to plan my deck build for my above ground 15x24 pool. I was thinking about using Trex type composite decking for around one side and also for the main deck.
Is anyone using composite for their deck around their pool? I have heard mixed reviews, like it gets very hot and also slippery.

Can you share your thoughts or experiences? Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated.

No problem. We don't mind answering questions, but with over 45,000 posts, there's a pretty good chance what you are looking for is already here. :lol:

I'll be the first to admint that our search function is not the best - but it will be much better after BUU2008!

Also keep in mind that the trex products (and similar others) are not as strong as ordinary lumber. They recommend that the support joists beneath be closer than for wood. If you don't, over time they will sag in the heat.
