Just replaced a PCC 2000 valve base...dry fit everything and it appeared to fit perfectly. Used purple primer & oatey blue cement. Now it is leaking!! Is there anything do help seal it at this point? Anyway to remove it other than cutting it off?

Any help greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks,
MJ

Welcome to TFP!!!

Once you put solvent on it, there is no taking it apart. How many joints did you have to glue at once? I struggle to do 2 at the same time since it is always better to be able to twist them together.

I am not sure what can reliably be done to try to seal a leaking joint.

The joint is shot, don't add anything around it.

I've had success is taking large diagonal pliers around the pipe and turning it hard to break the glue joint since it's a bad weld anyway works about half the time.

Next option is to cut it, take a dremel and carve it out.

I use the gold or green cans of glue don't like the blue.
