Grey scum after shock treatment

Hello Folks,

This is my fourth summer with this pool (IG)... My water is clear and looks swimmable, if it wasn't for the nasty grey scum floating on the surface of the water...

How do I get rid of it?

Well, that looks pretty normal when opening... skimmer socks, nylon knee highs will help. Is your Free Chlorine holding overnight? The scum is a byproduct of organics being killed off. Just wanna make sure everything is dead... water looks clear from what I can tell?

Yep, water is clear and free chlorine level is holding...

I'll try the skimmer socks... Thanks!
