Hello to all out there, in the process of replacing my liner, but have a few spider cracks in the vermiculite underneath the liner,how do you guys suggest the repair, mortar caulk, any advice would help , thank you all in advance..

Fine line cracks won't have any affect. if they're bigger than a 1/16th or so, they can be filled with several types of masonry products (like thinset or tile grout), as long as you get something fine enough to get down into the crack.
