Seeing small vortexes in water near outlet

Noob at the pool deal here. We have a two speed pump, and even at low speed Im seeing vortexes in the water near the water return/skimmer about 18 inches from the return outlet.

Is this normal? Anything to be concerned about?

If they are out in the bulk of the pool water, then it is fine. You could adjust the eyeballs if you want.

You do not want a vortex in the skimmer as that can allow air to be pulled into the pump.

Just adjust eyeball downward and make sure water level is halfway up skimmer face or so.
