24' X 12' Ultra Frame Intex Leg Support?

We just purchased an above ground Intex pool 24'X12'X52"

We rent and in the back yard we have a 30' X 15' artificial turf area.

question is, we dont want to pull up the turf cuz we rent the property. Can we go ahead and put blocks on top of the turf to rest the pool legs on? but will that throw off the pool since the legs will be a bit higher than ground level?

According to the manual the leg pads are placed directly on top of the ground, so that shouldn't be an issue. They call for 15"x15"x1¼" treated lumber but I'd think a double layer of 5/8" plywood would work as well.
