Will clarifier give you an inaccurate CYA reading?

I used Super Blue clarifier in my pool 24 hours ago. I checked my CYA level today and it is less than 30. (Using Taylor K-1005 Test Kit)

Will clarifier give you and inaccurate CYA reading? If so, when should I test CYA again for an accurate reading?

1 week ago, CYA was 43. I have not added any fresh water.

My pool is concrete and approx 15,000 gals.

Clarifier does not usually have a detectable effect. Keep in mind that the CYA test is a little tricky to do and is very sensitive to lighting. The test is designed to be done in bright indirect sunlight. Doing the test indoors or in cloudy weather will result in lower than actual readings.

Wait, wouldn't lower lighting result in higher CYA readings with a lower water level in the tube obscuring the dot due to less light? I don't know why this always seems to confuse me.
