What's my pool surface made of?

I've lived in my current house for three years and have an in ground pool. But I've never tried to figure out what the surface is (vinyl,fiberglass,concrete).

I'll be moving to a new place in a couple weeks with an in ground pool and I'd like to figure out what that surface is made of too.

Both pools are filled, is there a test or can it be determined by visual inspection and touch?

It's pretty easy to determine the surface by look and touch. Pics will help as Pooly indicated.

It looks like plaster to me, definitely not vinyl but I'm far from an expert. So maybe someone with high level pool surface knowledge will chime in

Thanks the for help! My next battle is turning that new pool from a swamp back to a Pool (That pic above is about a year old, the pump has been broken for the last 6 months)

Do we know for sure that the new pool (the top pic I believe) is plaster? I agree the bottom pick (old pool) appears to be plaster.

Good point Linen. I suspect that it's plaster but a closer pic would be helpful. I was concentrating on the bottom one.
