A Little Help with First Test Results?

Hi,

My pool was opened one week ago and the test results are:

ph 6.8
ch 10+
TA 80
stabilizer 0

I'm guessing the chlorine is so high due to the shock that was added at opening.

Do I leave things as is for awhile, or do I try and raise the ph and stabilizer?

You should bring the PH up to at least 7.0 right away. It would also be good to start putting CYA in very soon, but that is not as time critical as raising the PH.
