Where do you store your stuff?

As I am starting to get into testing my own pool and adding chemicals myself, I was wondering where do you guys store additional /extra chemicals?

I know that I need to keep my test kit indoors, but do you guys keep your bags of salt, muratic acid, shock etc... in the garage? In a plastic bin/container outside?

Thoughts?

Acid stays outside under the deck, everything else stays in an outside plastic storage room, like you see for garden supplies.

I have one like this that I keep all my stuff in (except my test kit and full bottles of bleach).

I really like that the front doors open as its easier to get things out. I keep my DE in a plastic container inside of this just to make it easy to carry near the skimmer.

Just keep the acid and chlorine away from each other. In fact keep different types of chlorine away from each other as well.

Acid outside under the deck. Liquid chlorine inside in a closet in the basement (cool and dark). Haven't needed anything else.

I never got a solid answer on this. Define away? How far. As an example. I have pucks in a bucket on one side of my storage bin and acid jugs on the other side. My DE is in a plastic bin in the middle. Is this far enough "away"? Sometimes I even have a bleach bottle in there.

What's the real risk?

My acid is stored outside but under a porch roof. I keep it inside an opaque plastic box which is inside another plastic box. My liquid chlorine is inside a garden shed (basically like an unfinished garage). I also have some CYA and calcium in there.

The salt and a case of acid is in the garage. The gallon of acid I'm using at any point in time, some metal-clear, and bromine tabs for the spa are in a plastic bin under the spa steps with the label "NOT FOR CHEMICAL STORAGE".

I do the same as Cajun except my box is a rubbermaid that came with the pool.

I have a bench/storage unit that I keep everything in that I'm using for the week. I stage everything else in the garage. I only keep liquid chlorine and MA on hand.
