Solar Covers and Pool Lighting

We have a new pool we built in AZ and have intellibrite lights in it - we love the look of the pool in the evening. Now the problem is that we realize when we heat it we lose a lot of heat overnight when the air is cold so really should use a solar cover while we're heating it (we only heat when we visit as it's a vacation home).

The problem is balancing the ambiance of the pool/lights with having a cover on it (the pool pretty much fills the yard). Those of you with solar covers, are you able to see the lights through it or do you just go for the practicality of the cover?

Any advice would be appreciated :)
