Man, I am so bad at this. I always just jump into posting and totally forget about introducing myself! 2nd pool so far, the first one we built from our design, but had to leave it when we moved. 
It was a great pool. I hope the guy who bought the house is taking good care of it!
This pool is much larger, was built in 1980-something. Has a DE filter. We had cartridges before. We're finally renovating it - it was starting to fall apart when we bought, which the inspector did not remark upon but should have. I would have bid lower on the house based on the condition of the pool, but never mind.
We live in Houston TX where about every other house has an in-ground pool. That means a wealth of choice when it comes to builders.
