Cleaning DE grids with CLR?

Has anyone here used CLR for removing calcium buildup off DE grids instead of MA? I'm just trying to find an alternative, but if MA is the best way to remove the buildup I'll use it.

Try a search of the forum using the Google bar at the bottom left of the page. Lots of discussions about CLR, but seems like the MA is usually recommended and cheaper.

Why? It's just gooey is all. It's still just acids. Here's the MSDS for it
