We have an above ground 18' pool, 4273 gallons. We used approximately 120 gallons of salt. **Our copper ions were low and TA WAS 240 INSTEAD OF 140. Our original water source is chlorinated. All other readings were normal. No cloudiness, no flaking. Any ideas for us to correct the ALK and Copper readings?

Do you just have a saltwater pool or do you have a saltwater chlorine generator (swg)?
We do not ever recommend putting copper in your pool. It can stain surfaces and turn blond hair green. See this pool school article: http://www.troublefreepool.com/pool-school/recommended_pool_chemicals

Ideally copper level should be 0 ... if you are using something that adds copper, we would suggest you stop.
