New SWG to AGP

I just installed a SWG (Hayward Aqua Trol Above Ground Salt System AQ-TROL-HP) and it says to connect the bonding lug to the pool bonding system. How do you do that with an above ground pool especially a soft-sided splash pool?

So I was thinking of driving a copper rod in the ground and attaching it to that. Or do I even need to do that?

You really should run a #8 bare copper wire to all the metallic equipment. In your case that's probably only the pump and the swg. In order to follow the letter of the law you need to run it to at least 4 the metal legs on the pool too, but I bet 90% of those pools don't have any bonding.

Is there a separate grounding lug on the pump?

It's a bonding lug, but yes there should be. It'll be external on the motor. Unless you have a double insulated pump.

I looked at my pump last night and did not find a bonding lug.

It may either not have one or be hidden under a plastic cover if the motor has one over it.

There is a little round plastic plug on the side right next to where the electrical cord comes out the end. I took it off but I could see inside. I'll check it again tonight.
