I see Leslie Pool sells what they call "Pool and Spa" lubricant.

- Where would that be used on a cartridge pump?
- Is there a cheap substitute? It's $7 for 3 oz.

Common places for pool lube to be used are anywhere there's an o-ring. Pump basket lid, Filter vessel seal, etc.

100% silicon lube can be found at several places. it's also called o-ring lube in some places.
