Problem with Pool lid seal sucking air

I figured I would give an update. Replaced the clear pump lid and its fixed. The other one was a lil worn I guess.

It's always a relief when it's relatively cheap!

Well, now I am curious. How could the pump basket lid wear? Could you see anything wrong with it?

It wasnt the factory lid from what i could tell. Although I couldn't see a crack im sure there was one. Finally narrowed down a spot that it was leaking at. There is really no telling what stuff the people that had the house before me used or did. They were some really strange folks.
