Dirt in the Pool

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum but I'll give it a shot. Each spring when the winds are blowing I tend to get large amounts of dirt blown into my pool. The dirt is to fine for the Polaris bag to trap and the filter (cartridge) doesn't catch it either.

Has anyone ever tried replacing the bag with a sock, run it for 24 hours and let the Polaris suck up the dirt?

Any other tips for getting the dirt out?

Your pool filter should absolutely be catching dirt.

There's a silt bag available for the Polaris cleaners, but as Robbie said, the filter should definitely be catching it.

Open up your filter and check for tears in the cartridge, that will definitely let dirt through. Or, sometimes the carts may not be seated correctly in the manifold.

I'll check the filters this weekend since it's my planned weekend to clean them.
