Auto cover, which color stains less

Hi,
I hear that covers start looking bad not soon after install. We are planning on an auto cover. What are the best colors which would minimize the effects of aging, stains, etc ?

Also, what's the rough cost of replacing a cover? Can you do yourself and save on labor or need the manufacturer to replace?

Ours is Khaki, CoverStar, automatic cover. Have only had it since last summer...but seems to have done well with winter debris, dirt, etc.. I just brush it with poolbrush when it's wet. Hasn't stained so far!
