Hi Gang,

Carry over from previous post :
now-how-fresh-is-fresh-water-t53049.html

So the story goes that 17-22 nd Jan 2013 was flooding in my city.
I did not re-do the pool till few days back, as I was waiting for rainy season to be over. No point getting my pool flooded twice within 30 days :hammer:

I spoke to the water supplier company and demanded him to source the best water with lowest TDS and organic load and whatnot.
As I was not happy with the previos water he supplied me :
allright-tpf-alumni-changing-pool-water-in-real-time-t51352.html

He said there is a source which will suit me but it will cost me much much more. 60 ish PPM TDS he said, same mother nature water supply as bottled mineral water brand called AQUA ( now owned by Danone - French ) http://www.aqua.com/home

So I said, bring in on and I am keen to try.

The peak of the flood 18th Jan 2013, see the stainless steel pool ladder nearly 100% submerged.

All I could do was to dump chlorine to 20 PPM on the flooded pool and slowly draining the water but not to empty level.
I fear the pool will be lifted up by ground water hydraulic force in such rainy season.

A week ago, clean the pool perimeter first. Scrub with detergent all floors and wall.
Use jet spray and 20PPM chlorine to disinfect pool perimeter.
Bring water level to the shallow portion less 30 cm.
Scrub shallow area pool tiles with detergent and then 20 PPM chlorine using jet spray

Few days back in preparation of new water coming, drain the pool to zero level

Scrub pool tiles with detergent and then 20 PPM chlorine using jet spray

Very strange, I keep adding chlorine to make 10 PPM FC but I can not get water to burnt off its algae and whatever baddies. This is totally different from allright-tpf-alumni-changing-pool-water-in-real-time-t51352.html
I think I get my money worth from this water :whoot:

NEXT day, still water is not "algae factory"

Today afternoon............ or 7 hours ago.
[attachment=0:1m5k7x6h]b13 - Daytime.JPG[/attachment:1m5k7x6h]

My 2nd pump on trolley was sent fo repair. It was 3/4 submerged and the bearing was making noises.

12 PPM FC maintained.

Let see in 48 hours will the water be sparkling blue ?
I will submit for Lab Test again soon to share.

Later Gang,

SPP
