I have CYA >100, are there any 3 inch tablets available that dont cause an increase in CYA? What sort of bad side effects are caused with a high CYA? Can you still swim with a high CYA >100?

There are no tablets without CYA (ignoring the ones with calcium which are also bad).
In Pool School you can see that the required FC is dependant on your CYA. With higher CYA, your required FC can get a bit high, especially if you have you go through the shock process. Also, if the required FC gets above 10ppm, then the pH test is no longer valid.
It is safe to swim with high CYA as long as the FC is above the minimum listed in Pool School and below the shock level for your CYA level.

Thank you! Looks like I will be draining off some. Is the clorox bleach found at the local market a good alternative to the tablets?

Yes the Clorox bleach is fine. Many people use the Walmart brand as well. You just have to shop to find out what's the cheapest in your area. Although make sure you are not using any of the 3% stuff.
The liquid chlorine sold the pool stores is the same thing as bleach only a higher percentage.
