I am at the final phase of a new fiberglass salt water pool construction. I just noticed in the Sta-Rite pool heater owner's manual, it states that it should not be used for salt water pools. My PB has used the same heater for many other salt water pools and obviously has not had any problems. Any suggestions? My heater is the Max-E-Therm SR200NA.
Special heater for salt water pool?

They are talking about ocean water, which is about 12 times as salty. The heater should be fine with salt levels below 5,000 ppm.
