Im thinking of going ahead and getting a controller and SWG for my install. This controller says it has a 100 amp subpanel built in.

Would that eliminate running a separate sub panel?

So when my electrician comes, he simply runs the wire from main panel in house to the Pro Logic controller and wires it up?

Yes, you understand correctly. The controller comes with a sub-panel, so you don't need another one.
