    How much CYA to add?

I know the question is probably on this forum somewhere, but **** if I can find it!

I'm getting a zero cya reading. I have a 10,000 gal. inground pool. How much CYA should I add?

    Thanks in advance!

I would start out with 2 1/2 lbs, wait a week and see where you are.

An appropriate target level for CYA is typically between 30 and 50. It is always best to add CYA in more than one step, so you don't overshoot your target. Increasing CYA is easy, lowering it is difficult. You can use my Pool Calculator, see the link in my signature, to calculate the amount of CYA to add given your pool size, your current level, and your goal level.
