Went out this afternoon to winterize my pool...Yes, I know I'm late nobody has to tell me. Anyhow....I flipped the breaker and nothing but a humming sound. Any profound suggestions to a girl that knows very little about this stuff???? URGH!!!!! I just wanna swim!! (when it's warmer)

Could be the capacitor or something jamming the impeller ... likely the first. Be careful handling the capacitor as they can still shock you.

I'm calling in the pros. I think this may be beyond my girlpower!!! Thank you Jason for your response!!! And No, my pool never did get winterized. Glad we are in Bama where it doesn't get too cold. I'm praying that their isn't any pipe damage.....
